Risk reduction strategies for patients following treatment that can affect the lymphatic system, including cancer related or other surgical procedures.
PRIVATE HEALTH
Depending on your health fund, and level of cover, you may be eligible to claim a rebate when accessing Occupational Therapy lymphoedema services. Please consult directly with your health fund to determine your eligibility and rebate amount.
To claim your rebate, simply present your invoice to your health fund. They will reimburse your rebate to your nominated bank account.
MEDICARE
You may be eligible for Chronic Disease Management Plan which can be used when accessing lymphoedema services.
A written plan is required from your GP in order to access this rebate.
Please note the Medicare rebate you will receive will not cover the whole cost of the appointment so you will have some out of pocket expenses
FEES
Initial Assessment – $180 (60 Minutes)
Long Appointment – $150 (45 Minutes)
Short Appointment – $120 (30 Minutes)
Laser Appointment – $80 (30 Minutes)
Caitlin is local to the Mornington Peninsula and is pleased to offer Lymphoedema therapy and Occupational Therapy services to patients at The Bays Cancer Care Centre consulting rooms at 262 Main Street, Mornington.
Meet
CAITLIN O’NEIL
Completing her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2011, Caitlin specialised in the care and treatment of lymphoedema, oncology and palliative care patients as an Occupational Therapist.
Caitlin trained to become a Lymphoedema Therapist in 2015, treating upper and lower limb conditions. In 2017 she became an advanced practitioner and provides expert treatment for all types of lymphoedema.
For the last 4 years, Caitlin has dedicated herself to treating every client with care and tailoring their treatment needs based on individual goals and needs.
